I think it is absolutely criminal that the BBC have not put this out on DVD, or even on the iPlayer continuously. Kenneth Clark gets all the glory where as this groundbreaking documentary series can be loved by all people, art lovers or not.
People into women's studies/feminism should watch this episode here. It would of made me rather sad if it wasn't so exciting.
I am currently talking to you on my iMac which is connected to my phone which is connected to the internet, I set it up so I wouldn't have to the library. Win.

In recent times I seem to listening to a lot of Frank Zappa, Kate Bush, drinking lots of water. Drinking no alcohol and have re-birthed my love for ballet and contemporary dance.
Odd.
I have no interest in late nights out, or powdery substances. I fear I have become a social outcast, a nerd. I love my evenings in, instruction manuals and energy drinks.I have also been coming out the other end of a creative lull and it feels incredible. I have had two ideas for my final show, sketches and the equipment to hand. I may start as soon as the dissertation despair is over.
I have high hopes for the third year, I have become close with a lovely Finnish lady who knits and have made a compromise with tutors allowing me to work from home, as the people in the studio are incredibly loud. Not to mention my work isn't very 2d or 3d, none of it is really model based.
I intially thought I was really behind with my work as I resat my modules for second year, turns out i'm not behind at all and many students haven't picked a question yet, the hand in date is for two weeks or so. Pretty scary. It has come to my attention that Richard, has to move away for a few months, he has a work placement down south earning him a "crap load" of money. He is quite a bit of debt and cannot turn down the opportunity, because of this I am needing to find a tempawarayhome for my latest kitty Olive.I wouldn't want it to be permanent as she is very much loved by us, it is just that she is an outdoors cat and the place I am moving to is right in the center of down. If anyone can offer her a roof over her head that would be great. Richard's family have offered but I would rather her to stay in Manchester.
I am moving into a renovated lingerie factory with lovely Chris from Hey Manchester. It has a really bizarre and interesting layout, difficult to describe but it has stairs that lead to no where and units in front of windows made for mannequins. I thought it would be a good space for some potential performance art, given it's lovely location, it is next door but one from the Earth cafe in Northern quarter.
Speaking of which I made my very first vegan-faux-pas on the day of viewing. I mentioned to a lady that I found it hard to trust anyone that doesn't eat an egg, she turned out not only to be vegan but the chairwoman of MMUs Vegan society. Oh bums.
What else has happened, oh... Doris is on Cherryade xmas comp vol 5, we wrote and recorded a song in an evening. And you can tell. Whoopsy.
We are also in the process of making some kind of video with a local video artist, also we are making an ep. Which is proving a very difficult task as we all want entirely different things for the production side of things. Drew wants lo-fi to death, Alex wants beats and reverb, I want an odd mixture of both, a more cut and paste approach.
I HATE recording. Haven't had time to do the video for Hotpants, or reschedule publisher.
Been focusing on my dissertation and selling my unwanted belongings. These two things alone take up 75% of the day. Blugh.
Oh and I had my first bike accident, and then a few days later my bike was stolen. Maybe I am being told something here, just as well I am taking driving lessons.
Beep! Beep! Move outttda way!
Also, has anyone had their hair done by barbarella from Pop? I need my barnet sorting out something rotten* and I was thinking of trusting her with my poor fragile scalp.

I am getting really annoyed with eGay, since they removed the option for sellers to leave negative feedback I have got loads of people pretending they have no received their items. I know this because I have put recorded tracking on items which carry high value, I am currently dealing with somebody who is pretending they did not get a package of Agent Provocateur goods which cost over £50, I have sent PayPal the tracking number and signature given on delivery via Royal Mail's website.
She is obviously trying to pull a fast one, especially considering that I have received no communication regarding this order.
I really think there should be a penalty on people doing this. It seems unfair that buyers can do and ask what they want.
Recently I had a lady demand a feedback because her VINTAGE coat was not brand new, I offered a refund if she sent it back. She never sent it back, so I did not refund. Paypal charged me regardless.
Grrr.
There must be a better system!

Why is it I can never sleep anymore. I am getting about 3/4 hours a night.
I have to walk through Rusholme in a second to up hold a hospital appointment. I fear I will pass out on the Doc's lap.
I no longer work at the Odeon, it's great. I miss the fellow team members but working at that joint was such a headache. So corporate you wouldn't believe. Going back to dancing. Looking forward to it, really. Being my own boss, working small hours. Having time to myself once again. Maybe I can catch up with my studies, finally?
The alley cat I took in is pregnant, just my luck, eh? - She is going to pop any day now.

The Doris Band has been a heck lot of fun recently, we took on the lovely and talented Alex Cameron and boy, has it sure paid off!
Songs are coming thick and fast, have a few gigs lined up. One coming up is going to be a music performance piece at an art exhibition. Will probably post the details when I know more.
In other news I took a diabetes test because I am always so awfully thirsty, it came back negative, but why else could this be?
